Passionfruit Marigold

(Tagetes lemmonii)

I’ve also heard this called tree marigold and it has by far gotten the most comments every time I post a picture of it. In full bloom through winter, this plant is a haze of orange flowers. The rest of the year it spot flowers and has ferny foliage that smells absolutely delightful (like passionfruit!). It self seeds but not prolifically and they are easy to pull out if need be. Give the bush a good prune after it’s main flower to keep a bushy habitat.

full sun, minimal water, up to 1.5m high.
